Do you love to watch an artist at work? Plein-air artists will be set up along the "Art Walk" on the west pier of the harbour, and yes, you can buy the artwork.

Lost or confused or got a question? You'll find our Team Canfest guides all over town in easily identifiable t-shirts and hats to answer your questions, provide directions, or provide you with a brochure containing a map and schedule of events.


Lifeguard demonstrations will be hel on Main Beach each day of the festival at 10:30 AM.



July 3rd Schedule

Val the Snake Lady
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Val the Snake Lady will be performing live in cenotaph park in front of the Legion.


Smoke on the Water 2
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM: East Pier at the end of Main Street right next to the harbour. Dash Plaques to first 250 vehicles, Trophies for many catagories, 50-50 draw, Food and drink vendors on site. All antique or show cars, truck, motorcyles and fire apparatus welcome. Sponsored by the Port Stanley Fire Rescue Association, admission is by donation.


Train Rides
Train Rides11:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 2:30 PM: Take a Scenic Train Ride in their wonderful, open-air passenger cars of the The Port Stanley Terminal Rail, formerly the historic London & Port Stanley Railroad (L&:PS). www.pstr.on.ca

School of Rock
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Legion Cenotaph park: Come out and support some amazing young talent. The School of Rock creates opportunities for kids to 'play in the game'. Kids get to try out all the instruments so they can discover which ones they are most drawn to. We teach them to play instruments and to sing ... and then we put them on a stage with professional sound & lights! At events like Canfest, they show off the talent!


Boat Parade
Boat Parade2:00 PM: Boaters from both Canada and the United States will be participating in our "Boat Parade". Boats will be encouraged to decorate themselves as floats with prizes for best theme, spirit, live band, decorated, non-power, etc. Visitors and guests line the shores to watch the boats "parade" out to Lake Erie. One of the MOST successful events in 2010, we are thrilled to have it return. Awards banquet with parade video screening at GT's at 6:00 PM.


Lake Erie International Race
Lake Erie International Race3:15 PM: At about this time, sailing yachts participating in the LEIR Sailing Race, from Ashtabula, Ohio across the lake to Port Stanley, Ontario, will start arriving in Port Stanley harbour. Watch the horizon for colourful spinnaker sails that look like low-flying hot air balloons.


Karate Demonstration
3:00 - 4:00 PM: Karate Demonstration at Cenotaph Park in front of the Legion


Laughter Yoga
4:00 - 5:00 PM: Want to try something really fun? We're holding a FREE Laughter Yoga session on Sunday afternoon, right downtown in cenotaph park in front of the Legion. Laughter is infectious and before long you will be receiving the physical and psychological benefits of enjoying a really good laugh.
