8:00 AM - 12:00 noon: Do you love hunting for bargains? Port Stanley is holding a community wide yard sale all morning on Saturday, July 2nd. This is your chance to explore our village and find a few treasures.

Do you love to watch an artist at work? Plein-air artists will be set up along the "Art Walk" on the west pier of the harbour, and yes, you can buy the artwork.

Lost or confused or got a question? You'll find our Team Canfest guides all over town in easily identifiable t-shirts and hats to answer your questions, provide directions, or provide you with a brochure containing a map and schedule of events.


Lifeguard Demonstrations
Lifeguard demonstrations will be hel on Main Beach each day of the festival at 10:30 AM.

Show & Shine Bike Show
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Rocky's Harley Davidson Show & Shine Bike Show on the East Pier


Miss Port Stanley Pagent
10:00 AM: at Our Times Harbour View Spa. Age group 16 - 25 years. Pre-registration available at the spa or on our website as of June 1st. Day-of registration at the spa from 10 AM - 12 PM. Contestents will get a schedule at time of registration. Prize will be a professional photo shoot with TooGood Studios and a day at the spa, as well as a gift basket. Winner to be crowned at the Boat Parade on July 3rd. Entry Fee: $15. Portion of proceeds to be donated to Canfest.

PSVA Live & Silent Auction
10:00 AM: Port Stanley Village Association live and silent auction, with auctioneer Michael Shore, at the Legion at 310 George Street, Port Stanley. Proceeds to be split 50/50 with Canfest. www.psva.ca/Auction items


Train Rides
Train Rides11:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 2:30 PM: Take a Scenic Train Ride in their wonderful, open-air passenger cars of the The Port Stanley Terminal Rail, formerly the historic London & Port Stanley Railroad (L&:PS). The 11:00 AM train is the Extended Scenic Ride to Whyte's Station and back. www.pstr.on.ca


Karate Demonstrations
12:00 noon: Karate Demonstration on main beach.


Sand Sculpting for Sally Competition

12:00 Noon at Main Beach Pavilion: Registration begins at noon. Sand building from 1 - 4 pm, then judging starts at 4 pm.

Three prizes: cash awards of at least $200

  • The Spirit Award (for the group with the most enthusiastism, spirt etc.)
  • The Best In Show (best one for this year's theme "Once Upon A Time...")
  • The People's Choice Award (visitors vote for their favourite)

The cost is $20.00 per person with teams of at least 6 or more. There is no limit to the number of individuals on a team. Registration forms available by email: sandsculpturesforsally@gmail.com

Proceeds are going towards literacy programs for Thames Valley Distict School Board, in memory of Sally Cummings. Sally Cummings was a Early Childhood Educator with the Thames Valley District School Board for 19 years. She had a love of reading and a passion for promoting literacy, especially the importance of early literacy. Sadly, Sally passed away five years ago after a courageous fight with a brain tumour. TVDSB will issue tax receipts.

Strawberry Social
5:00 - 7:00 PM: Port Stanley United Church Strawberry Supper at 239 Colborne Street. Beef-on-a-bun, beans, coleslaw, strawberry shortcake & ice cream, and coffee, tea or cold drink. Tickets available at the door. Adults: $10 pp; Children 5-12: $5 pp; Children under 5 Free. Dessert only is $5.00.


Live Theatre
Live TheatrePerformances at 2:00 PM & 8:00 PM ~ Boeing Boeing: at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre. "If one girl is good, then two would be better, and three would be ... extraordinary." Bernard has a problem ... too much of a good thing. Three fiancées, each working for a different airline. He has nerves of steel and a finely tuned schedule ... but when the storm hits, the girls are grounded, and his fiancées come home to roost. High flying comedy at its best!
