There is no entry fee for participation in the 2011 Boat Parade. Instead, registrants are asked to bring a donation for the local Port Stanley Food Bank in lieu of an entry fee.
Registration is available through our on-line registration form or at local marinas. Boats will be assigned numbers as they register and we will need to know whether or not you require the lift bridge to be raised for your boat to pass under it.
Port Stanley's time honoured Boat Parade returns to Canfest on Sunday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m.!
The theme for this year's boat parade is wide open, to encourage a full range of creative concepts.
This unique and distinctly Port Stanley boat parade features boats in the power, sail, fish tug and non-power/non-sail class of canoe, kayak and paddle boat. In 2010 we had some innovative and unusual, imaginative and highly creative "boats" entered. The parade route starts at the various marinas, travels under the King George VI Lift Bridge, out the inner harbour and then makes three circles of the inner harbour.
