Welcome to Port Stanley Canfest

Port Stanley Canfest is the exciting new festival to officially kick-off the Canadian love of summer! We have a host of fun activities planned that everyone can enjoy, from teens and families through to adults of all ages.

We've been running our Canada Day fireworks and fun for a few years now, and in 2010 we have decided to extend this fun by following our Canada Day celebrations with a full-fledged three-day festival incorporating the beach, the harbour and the entire business district of Port Stanley.

Our centre stage located harbourside will feature free live concerts with bands in a variety of genres. Visitors will be able to sit, stand or dance along the west harbour walkway or in Glover Park to enjoy the music. read more

The east pier will be anchored by a midway run by Campbell Amusements, the best midway operators in this area of the country! They will be featuring 8 rides from children friendly to thrill seeker status, and yes, Cotton Candy! read more

On Sunday afternoon, July 4th, Port Stanley's unique and famous Boat Parade returns to celebrate the importance of water and boating in Port Stanley. This is a judged contest and bound to be a spectacular sight! read more

Canfest is also featuring contests, including a boardwalk colouring contest, a family sand sculpting contest, and the Perch Plate contest which offers participants a chance to win $1,000 worth of gift certificates from Port Stanley restaurants and merchants. read more

Port Stanley's Artists Guild members will be located all around town for visitors to enjoy watching plein air artists at work, and caricature artist Robin Baratta will be set up by Port Stanley's open-air jail for people to enjoy the fun of seeing themself or a loved one drawn in caricature. read more
